Yampa’s leadership has developed a comprehensive master plan aimed at diversifying the local economy. Key components of this plan include investing in affordable housing, enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, promoting outdoor tourism, and supporting the expansion of small businesses. State Support and Local Initiatives
In alignment with these goals, the Polis Administration, through the Office of Just Transition and the Office of Economic Development & International Trade, has provided grants to support business development and job creation in Yampa. A notable grant of $105,000 is facilitating the implementation of a business support program. This program focuses on upgrading equipment for local businesses and installing highway wayfinding signs to draw more visitors to downtown Yampa. As a result, Montgomery’s General Store is expanding its refrigeration and display areas, while Yampa Garage Eatery is transitioning into a full-service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
